After one season of aggregating raw cashew nuts and soya beans, we realised that our sustainability and impact as a viable agricultural commodity aggregator depended on direct and strong relationship with small holder farmers (SHF) and communities. Invariably, our sustainability as a business is intricately woven into the prosperity of our small holder farmers (SHF). The FARMER is literally our business!
Ultimately, our success as an agricultural commodity trading business should be measured by the extent to which our operations improve the income and living standards of our farmers and communities. This is our strategic focus and brand promise of ... prospering together!
What We Do
ThirdWell Input Financing Scheme (TWIFS)
Our flagship offering provides easily accessible and affordable input financing for farmers. The scheme is designed to finance the cost of ploughing, agro-inputs, and harvesting. Worse case default under the scheme is 10%.
ThirdWell Aggregation Program (TAP)
We purchase directly from our farmers in partnership with processing companies and exporters. Farmers receive our innovative ThirdWell Akuafo (Farmer) Bonus
for every kilogram (KG) purchased under this program.
ThirdWell Farmer Training (TFT)
Starting 2027, our ThirdWell Farmer Training is designed with the objective to improve farmer yield and income, and promote environmentally friendly practices that improve productivity and protect natural resources for future generations.
Improving Nutrition and Income
We aim to reduce malnutrition, specifically protein deficiency, through increased consumption of protein rich local foods whilst at the same time, providing additional farming and non-farming income for farming households.
